How to use the mind in an effective way.
One of the very first steps to take if you want to make a change in your live is to let go of the past, because it surely won’t come back some day so it’s a part of your life in which you can’t change anything. Where all the power lies is in the moment. Every single moment that goes by can be the start of something new that you can create with the power of the thoughts. Instead, many people spend many hours of the day trying to find out all the features their mobile phone has to offer them.
It’s not a coincidence that some people succeed in everything they do, while others keep failing on their projects and feel themselves stuck in a deep whole.
Thoughts have the power to change reality. Everything that is man made on the planet was first a thought in someone’s mind before it later got manufactured or machined. So it all starts in the mind. Definitely!!
We humans think an average of 50.000 thoughts per day. Positive thoughts induce positive emotions, which then on their turn give birth to a positive outcome. The same goes for negative thoughts.
Some 400 years ago, René Descartes a french philosopher and mathematician, wrote following words down, which are still today well known in our society:
I think therefore i am.
Following the logic of the power of thoughts, it seems more correct to say:
I AM WHAT I THINK, literally!!
Success or failure depends on the self image that you have, but also on the way
you see other people and the world.
This picture of ourselves and the world ,is just a subjective view based on our past experiences and influences. Our 5 senses just get a small fraction of what happens around us. Science says that we only catch 5%. There is so much more happening around us than we think. We think we are in control, but we’re not. It’s the subconscious mind that is the boss and runs most of the time on autopilot. This autopilot works also for the thought pattern.
If we manage to control the quality of our thoughts, as to say if we avoid negative thoughts as much as we can, our life will start to change for better, that’s for sure, but we need patience and faith.
Here’s a famous quote from Dr. Wayne Dyer:
„If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at, CHANGE.“
We reinforce everything we focus on. So if we focus more on positive stuff that happens arouns us, more of that stuff will appear. the same counts for negative stuff.
There is a story from Russia that illustrates this quite well: Once upon a time, an old man had two wolves; one was very friendly and peacefull, the other wolf was aggressive and angry. The question is: Which wolf lived longer?
Answer: The one who his master fed the most!!
What you put your attention on, that’s going to grow. For some it’s football, for some it’s violent movies on TV, for some it’s their „image“ they have built on facebook, for some it’s their health or the peace in the world, for some it’s helping others.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
So if you really want to change your life, you must raise your standards and habits. Start by getting conscious about the kind of thoughts that happen to cross your mind the most of the time. Are they positive or negative?
